Alison Block is a Los Angeles based stand-up comedian who happens to use a guitar in her act. Her show reflects the influences of her favorite comedians including Mitch Hedberg, Chelsea Handler, and George Carlin. Her popular comedy songs have been described as "Carrie Bradshaw meets Adam Sandler." Block was hired to write the short comedy film, Lady Fingers (http://www.ladyfingers-themovie.com/CREW.html) and has appeared on the Current TV/Rotten Tomatoes movie review show. As a “real” songwriter, Block was chosen to participate in a songwriting “boot camp” with Grammy nominated songwriter and Nashville Star host, Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Miley Cyrus, Faith Hill). She has been featured on Songwriter Universe’s On-line Magazine and received honorable mention in the NSAI Songwriting Contest.
